U8 v Chesterfield

Mansfield was again pitched against Chesterfield for the third time this season.

Following a narrow defeat to Chesterfield earlier in the season and Mansfield’s win at the Worksop festival just one week earlier, the fixture “needed to be settled” as one of the team put it.

Game 1
Mansfield quickly got into stride scoring with some direct running and super tagging came out, with a new squad rotation during the game in place of the whole team as previously used Mansfield won simply 9-7

Game 2
With the new sub system in place we stated the second game. Chesterfield must have woken up by this time and gave us a good work out with an even game which turned into a high scoring event. Luckily Mansfield came out on top 11-9

This was followed by a good hearted game of bulldog with both clubs coaches being the dogs.
So overall Mansfield came out on top wining games 3-1 against Chesterfield
