U15s v Ilkeston

After losing to Ilkeston in the Cup, Mansfield U15's started the match with a sense of wanting to get their own back. Despite some good runs from the visitors, Mansfield's defence was consistently strong and a great team effort between the forwards and the backs ensured they maintained the lead throughout the match. Matthew Bullars was back on excellent form, scoring two runaway tries and Connor Taylor's kicking was impressive resulting in the final try of the match by Sam Dickins. Tries by captain James Armson and Ryan Banner ensured a clear victory. Revenge was sweet, but the team were left wondering why the result in the Cup was so different?
