It was a very windy day but luckily the rain held off for the U15's first game in 5 weeks.

It was a funny old game as the Mansfield boys could not seem to get going it is there first game in 5 weeks.
Communication between the player's where lacking as we on many occasions had a overlap yet it went the other way.
The breakdown was an area Ashfield took advantage of and kept you pegged back.
Going over for a Try and conversion.
Ashfield 7 - Mansfield 0
The restart it was a good chase but not in numbers as Ashfield secured ball. But you did get turn over ball and moved forward then into a ruck Ashfield then came in from the side scrum Mansfield ball.
Mansfield secured ball yet made hard work of it not lower enough. Ashfield took full advantage of Mansfield's problems and by halftime.
Ashfield had scored 3 Tries with conversations.
Towards the end of the half you were so close on many occasions. Will Heyes did go over but the ref said ball held up. 5 meter scrum.
Ashfield 21 - Mansfield 0

Second Half.
The second half got on the way and was a much better start by Mansfield fighting for the ball hard with some great and strong tackles going in.
You are now pushing Ashfield hard which showed in the amount of penalties they were giving away. Our breakdown play was letting you down again then we had great spells of rugby from you and you had Ashfield on the back foot.
You all kept to task and it paid off with a Try to the base of the post. From Harry with conversion.
Ashfield 21 - Mansfield 7
On the restart you kept in the game.
Then their fullback kicked a high spinning ball into the windy sky which was taken on the run by our fullback and ran back at them with support great play going on here. Then in a breakdown the ball got turned over and Ashfield broke through and went over for Try and conversion.
Ashfield 28 - 7 Mansfield.
With the restart you chased well rapping man and ball up and right up to the final whistle you did not lose heart.
It is all there boys just learn to trust who is on your inside or outside of you and communicate.
The second half was much better and shows it is all there boys so well played to you all.
Well done to Ashfield on a good game next time..
Also well done to Owen Hopewell-Bond on his Man of the Match.

So let's be positive about this ready for West Bridgford. On Sunday.
