Mansfield V West Bridgford

West Bridgford started the game and was a great take by Mansfield who came straight on the attack pushing hard catching West Bridgford on the backfoot as Harry Brough went over for a Try and Conversion by himself as well what a great start to the game.
Score 7 - 0 Mansfield
At the restart West Bridgford kick and chase hard catching the receiving player on his own and turn the ball over. Tackles were going in hard and low.
But Bridgford were pushing hard down the left wing forcing Mansfield backwards as Mansfield regroup and force Bridgford out for a lineout, It was close in competing for the ball. Yet Bridgford regain the ball.
As Mansfield got sucked into the ball they got the over lap they wanted and moved the ball quickly down their backs some valiant tackles went by the wings and fullback but off load still came and the went over for a Try. No conversion.
Score 7 - 5 Mansfield
Mansfield restarted with a great kick and chase right up on Bridgford 22. Which results in a scrum. Mansfield ball the scrum works well and Mansfield move the ball well and recycling well putting phase's together they are playing really well and the game goes back and forth as Mansfield press forward hard and the reward comes as Harry Brough takes a good ball from Brad Vale and goes over for a Try. No conversion.
Score 12 - 5 Mansfield.
Bridgford restart with a good kick and chase and the contact is hard from both teams but getting somewhat scrappy as Mansfield start giving penalties away and losing the ball in contact. Then again Mansfield get drawn in and Bridgford go over for a Try. No conversion.
Score 12 - 10 Mansfield.
Mansfield restart and chase well as Bridgford move the ball well the Mansfield boys seem to be standing off them a little giving Bridgford a free run great tackles keep going in but they are making it hard work for themselves the forwards are getting in and the backs are ready at mauls and things everyone is playing well but just not shutting them down giving room for them to run and Bridgford go over for a Try, No Conversion.
Score 12 - 15 West Bridgford
Mansfield restart and Bridgford come straight onto them Mansfield turn the ball over and push forward but then get turned over themselves it's going back and forth and a little scrappy. As Bridgford get numbers again and run the right wing going over for a Try. No conversion.
Score 12 - 20 West Bridgford
Mansfield restart but don't follow up on it allowing Bridgford to move the ball Mansfield are defending well standing Bridgford up. The blue and whites are playing well but are just standing off them a little to much. All the Mansfield tackling is strong and stopping them great play lads and what turns out to be the last play of the half Bridgford go over for a Try. And conversion.

Second Half
Mansfield restart the game and get down to pulling Bridgford's lead using fast moving ball and all the backs running great lines. That end in a knock on just short of touch. Scrum Bridgford ball. Mansfield get the push on but Bridgford get the ball away and move it down the line then they kick Sean Wallis gathers the ball well and sends a driving low ball back at them which Bridgford knock on just outside their 22. Scrum Mansfield they secure ball and pick and drive down field getting ever closer they drive over the line but are held up. 5 meter scrum. Bridgford secure and run the ball and again Mansfield stand off them letting them run but the tackles you all put in are strong you are also double tackling which is great to see.
However Bridgford move up field your defending is strong and the tackle count keeps going up this is much better.
Bridgford from a ruck drew players in and they had numbers wide the backs worked hard holding them up but could not stop them going over for Try. No conversion
Score 12 - 32 West Bridgford.
Mansfield restart and chase well they are not giving up on this and turn the ball over and moving the ball quickly, the backs running hard they get the overlap then knock on close to the line again, but this shows you can get around Bridgford.
Scrum both teams are strong in the scrum Bridgford secure ball and try running it out of their 22 but are driven into touch. Mansfield ball the lineouts have been a little hit and miss today this was a good one Mansfield took the ball as the forwards came in picking and driving then moving the ball down the line pressing West Bridgford back fighting for everything as Will Heyes takes the ball and goes over for the Try. Conversion by Brad Vale.

Bridgford restart Mansfield take the ball and run it back at Bridgford pushing hard but Bridgford turn Mansfield over and run the ball back down the right wing and over for the Try. No conversion

Mansfield restart and chase catching their ball carrier and turn him over as Mansfield push forward but they lose the ball forward knock on. Then the whistle goes full time.

The game was played in the great spirit of the game hard and fair. West Bridgford knew they had been in a game.
