1st Game of the Season

Day out at Donny
After all the hard work the team had put in through preseason it was time to show everyone what they had been working on and it was not to be missed,
Waking up for the first game of the season was hard but nice with the sun shining through the window makes the drive into Yorkshire a lot nicer ,
the players all looked great with their new Mansfield contact tops on show, now down to the rugby,
We started off moving the ball through the hands and quickly started to show Doncaster that we were there to play some rugby, our backs showed off some moves they had been working on with William getting just short of the line then Toby showed power and speed to go over for the first score quickly followed by Oskar who picked up behind a ruck and crashed over from 5 metres then Doncaster forwards started to get their rucking game going and added a score, Mansfield started to show they could match them and put some rucks of their own together resulting in the backs getting some ball which saw Josh crashing over then Lucas with a run from his own half passed 5 donny players to score Oskar stormed over again donny up their game and run in a few scores just before half time
Refreshed and ready to go Mansfield started off at lighting pace and started to dominate the game the forwards stepped up the gears and provided good ball and the backs looked impressive Oskar showed all the touch rugby in preseason was paying off with his fitness as he was tackling and getting big carries in as he rounded it off with a hattrick not to be out done Lucas made a hattrick followed by tries from Kyros and Billy with a 10 metre run through Doncaster's defence to claim a try and Lucas rounding off with his 4th try Doncaster never looked out of the game scoring 3 of their own.
We as coaches had the hard task of giving the player of the game award as every player was in the mix a mention for Aj who had a awesome game with his runs and tackling out on the wing.
MOM Oskar a really good game tackling ,energy, and 3 trys
DOD Aj for forgetting is boots and Kit
