First Frosty Morning Fixture

On our travels again this time a trip over to Bingham to face a tough team which made for a fantastic game on a fresh Sunday morning.

So with both teams ready the whistle went and both teams putting their bodies on the line with some crunching tackles Bingham started to put some phases together which had us scrambling in defence but the ball found its way into Tobys hands and he went into over drive cutting his way through the defence beating 6 defenders he went over to get the first score of the game, the next 5 minutes the game was back and forwards between the teams. Again some big tackles went flying in with Jayden on his 2nd game tackling any opposition who had the ball like a wracking machine backed up by the rest of the forwards hitting the rucks hard at every chance they had only for the ball to slip into Bingham's hands for them to get a score of their own, which left us trying too hard and throwing the ball away and losing our shape we seemed to fall apart in attack which led to players trying to do everything on there own so the game got a little scrapy for the last 10 minutes of the half.
We had a chat at half time about calming down and playing our game moving the ball around, we came out and started strong straight from the whistle first Lucas went on a run with some good foot work he finished off with a score, stepped up the backs to put a move together which found Ethan bursting through on a 30 yard run to get on the score sheet , josh who was starting to run the game at flyhalf making the team look class found some room and hit the space to get a try, Oskar started to rev up and smash his way through to score, straight from kick off the backs moved the ball out wide for William who stormed down the line to score in the corner, then Mal stepped up to go on a strong run carrying 5 defenders on his back through the 22 to get a good try, Aj played out of his skin all game putting tackles in and non stop running with the ball, then to find himself in the middle of the defending forwards ran into the biggest lad on the park and put him on his back was an amazing sight to see WELL DONE, Mr reliable Oskar ran another try in finishing our scoring off, full credit to Bingham for putting in everything until the very end getting another try.

MOM Mal who Bingham coaches picked out for his powerful running and determination WELL DONE.
