Long Eaton

2nd game of the season and off we travelled to Long Eaton for what promised to be a tough encounter,
Myles went to do the honours and chose to receive from the kick off with the boys ready after a good warm up with Daz.
We started off really strong and Long Eaton were wondering what had hit them as we moved the ball well and played our system strong, rucking from a strong forward pack it looked like it was going to be a nice Sunday stroll in the park. First Lucas went on one of his powerful runs brushing tacklers aside one after another and putting us on the score board then from the kick off we gathered the ball and moved it through the back line leaving William to put in a 30 metre run again leaving 4 tacklers on the ground to score in the corner. Then Kyros with his dancing shoes on, danced around player after player like some thing off strictly come dancing( ITS A 10 FROM ME) to add another score. Oskar stepped in to smash his way though making sure the forwards got in on the act to score, not to be out done Lucas who was putting fear in the eyes of the opposition players took his foot off the breaks and went on a run from his own half and you guessed it went in under the post.
Then Long Eaton started to put pressure on us by strong runs and quick taps which we struggled to cope with and they started to get the score board rolling scoring 2 of their own we started to look a little shaky rushing our play throwing the ball away and dropping the ball but half time came at the right time so we could regroup and refocus.
2nd half
We started off like a train again with our own Happy feet (Kyros) dancing though a stronger defence and going over for a score, Toby then turned on the burners and smashed his way through 6 or 7 tacklers to add his name to the score sheet. Long Eaton started to get going again but our tackling matched anything they could throw at us Kai on the wing for his first game put some fantastic tackles in and had a run down the wing with some real pace only a last ditch tackle preventing a debut try. Long Eaton scored again, Happy feet found the ball in his hands once more and from his own half raced clear of the defence to round a fantastic hattrick, they scored again from a quick tap, Happy feet added a fourth to round our scoring off with Long Eaton having the final say on the score board.
Well Done lads especially the boys who played out of position to help the team.

DOD Reece for giving the ball back to them so they could run at him again
