

With a strong wind, heavy horizontal rain and a 2 degree temperature the girls played their series of matches with a determination to continue their development over the past months..and it showed.
The players handling and passing in the terrible conditions was a delight to see with next to no drop catches or handling errors....a credit to the players core skills
Retention of the ball was again a big plus with strong and reactive rucking every time a player went to ground.
Communication was another plus from the matches with all the players demonstrating their progress in this important skill.
After an hours rugby the matches were cut short to avoid hypothermia from effecting the teams and the supporters.
A big thanks to Ashfield for providing the extra electric heaters in the club house between games to keep players, parents and coaches warm.
The event not only demonstrated that the players are continuing to develop their game but highlighted the groups 'togetherness' and 'team spirit' by working and playing in such awful conditions.
