Over the past four weeks school children from Forest Town Primary, King Edwards, and Crescent Primary School have been undertaking three weeks of core skills training and then undertook a tag rugby festival at Mansfield RUFC duly run by the clubs schools community coaches.
In addition to this event the clubs school coaches have been training up numerous new 'School Rugby Leaders' who assisted and helped in the coaching and running of the sessions. These 'School Rugby Leaders' came from players within Mansfield Rugby Club's U14 Boys team and the U15 Girls team and whom are pupils at Samworth Academy, Garibaldi, Meden Vale and All Saints' in the Mansfield area.
The whole event was a great success and allowed further expose of Mansfield Rugby Clubs growing youth section to school pupils in the local community and the clubs schools coaching programme.
