Players rewarded after massive summer fundraising campaign

Congratulations to Kyan Johnson who won the yellow jersey at Mansfield Rugby U15s Tour-de-France Challenge. This was awarded to the cyclist who was able to ride the most miles in their 30 minute time slot. The shirt did change hands a few times, but in the early evening Kyan clocked up 22 miles. Although others came close, no one was able to beat it. During the 24 hours Kyan averaged 39km an hour. Kyan was also awarded with a cash prize from Richard Limb.

Ross Laughton was awarded a red jersey, donated by Geraint Walters. In a similar way to the combativity or aggressive rider prize in the real tour, a red jersey was chosen to symbolise the incredible efforts that Ross put in, particularly in the final stages. Ross was riding for 5 hours and clocked up an impressive 88 miles (141km).

A final prize was awarded to the player who was able to raise the most money for this event. Dave Wright awarded a £20 club shop voucher to Lewis Warren for raising £135.

A massive thank you must go to Claire Wright for all her efforts in making the event happen, which was extremely hard work but equally rewarding and has raised the team £1500.

Well done all of you, and here's to an equally successful season on the pitch.
