The Alan Shaw Colt’s Player of the Season Memorial Award for the 2024/25 Season was presented to Sean Roberts at the annual Colts dinner. Sean’s journey with Mansfield RUFC began at the tender age of 7, and since then, he has become a standout figure both on and off the pitch. Over the years, he has amassed numerous Player of the Year awards, a testament to his dedication, skill, and leadership.

Sean’s talent has not only shone at the club level but has also been recognised regionally, as he has proudly represented Mansfield RUFC at NLD level. A defining moment in his career came earlier this season when he made his debut for the 1st XV, marking the occasion with a memorable try that showcased his potential at the senior level.

Beyond his achievements on the field, Sean embodies the spirit of Mansfield RUFC. He is always among the first to volunteer whenever the club calls for support, demonstrating a selfless commitment to its success. Additionally, Sean has served as a club ambassador at West Notts College, where he has been instrumental in launching a mini rugby session for Under 6s. This initiative not only introduces young players to the sport but also acts as a vital feeder system for the club’s youth section, ensuring its future growth.
