Mansfield RUFC's Schools Coaching Programme finished with a flurry of festivals in June with numerous primary schools from around the community coming to Mansfield Rugby Club to take part in the Mansfield RUFC's 'Primary School Touch Rugby' events…all in association with our Mansfield School Games Organiser and the RFU.

Three festivals were run for Boys, Girls and a mixed which highlighted the great depth of rugby players that have been discovered and encourage to play school tag and touch rugby through Mansfield's Schools Coaching team undertaking PE lessons and after school sessions at their schools throughout the year.

Over the academic year Mansfield Rugby Club have worked with Primary Schools from Newlands, Forest Town Primary, Crescent Primary, Palterton, Churchvale Primary, Sherwood Primary, King Edwards Primary, Oak Tree Primary, St Edmunds, St Phillips, Sutton Road and St Peters as well as the Secondary Schools of All Saints', Manor, Brunts, QE's, Meden and Samworth.

All in all our best year to date for our work with the local community and hopefully this will result in more rugby enthused kids coming through the gate of Mansfield Rugby Club in September.
