East Retford II - 12 v Mansfield IV - 34
Mansfield 4ths came away with another Pennant win over a never say die East Retford outfit, battling out a 12-34 away win. They dominated for 60 mins not giving an inch to score all their 34 points but then seemed to back off which let the determined Retford side back into the game and claw back a respectable 12 points. Scorers for Mansfield were D. Chapman with 2 tries, F. Hawson, Hardwick, Hughes, Haynes all with 1 a piece and Pruden and Chapman with a conversion each. MOM went to D. Nelson for his efforts throughout the game at prop.
