IMPORTANT NOTICE from the team captains -
Please can all players make the task of their team’s captain / manager easier by taking responsibility for contacting them to say either:
"Yes, I have seen I’m picked for the … team and I’ll be there at the stated time"
"Sorry, I have seen I’m picked for the … team but I’m afraid I am no longer available this week"
In fact, we would prefer not to get the latter message. If you told your captain / manager that you would be available the following week and then find you are not, please let them know as soon as possible – preferably before selection (which starts at 9.00 pm on Monday).
These actions would take each person less than half a minute with the various technologies available these days, rather than the significant amounts of time some of us spend each week trying to contact players who are not in / do not return messages / have changed their mobile and not told anybody etc...
