Mansfield 4ths travelled to HMP Ranby with a mixed side including four 17 year old debuts. The final 36-8 score line flattered the inmates as Mansfield went to sleep for 20 mins in the second half. Mansfield started strong holding the opposition to 5-3 by half time unfortunately conceding a break away try. It took 10 mins before Ranby got into their stride. Their superior fitness showed in the end and a flawless display from their Full back who scored a brace of tries. New boy Michael Wynn-Higgins scored Mansfields’ only try with J. Repton adding a penalty kick.
