Welcome to Mansfield Rugby Union FC - Membership

The aims of Mansfield Rugby Club are to develop new and existing facilities in order to offer the highest standard of rugby, sporting and social opportunities to a large and diverse user group, through effective training and development of our people. We are committed to being an open and receptive club where members are encouraged to contribute and develop to their maximum ability so that we continue at all levels to build rugby sportsmanship and friendship in the Mansfield District. Our website contains information on both our Senior and Junior teams, including the results and fixtures for the First XV. Available Memberships & Subscriptions

 A Full Member

Must either be a playing member or have played for the Club at some time. Full membership entitles the person to attend and vote at the Annual General Meeting and any General Meeting, and to stand for election as an Official of the Club. His wife and children* under 18 years of age may also use the facilities provided in the Clubhouse without making separate application or paying an additional subscription. Annual subscription is £80 (discounted to £60 if paid before end of October). Plus £5 per week playing match tax if a playing member.

 

A Vice-President Member

Is entitled to attend and vote at the Annual General Meeting and any General Meeting, and to stand for election as an Official of the Club. Their wife/husband and children under 18 years of age may also use the facilities provided in the Clubhouse without making separate application or paying an additional subscription. Annual subscription is £80 (discounted to £60 if paid before end of October).

 

A Social Member

May attend any General Meeting of the Club, but is not entitled to vote, nor stand for election to the Committee, nor play for any of the Club’s teams. Social members may use the facilities of the Club during normal opening times and attend social functions. For an additional fee, the husband or wife and children under 18 years of age may also use the facilities of the Club. Annual subscription is £30.

 

A Student Member

Shall be a player in full time education. He may attend any General Meeting of the Club, but is not entitled to vote nor stand for election to the Committee. Annual subscription is £40. Plus £3.50 per week playing match tax.

 

A Junior Member

Shall be a player under 19 years of age and eligible to play for the Youth teams of the Club. He may attend any General Meeting of the Club, but is not entitled to vote nor stand for election to the Committee. Annual subscription is £30. Plus £3.50 per week playing match tax.

 

An Associate Sports Member

 May use the Clubhouse facilities prior to, during, and after his/her sports session, but is not entitled to use the Club facilities on other occasions unless covered by Rule 28 or 29 in the club constitution. An Associate Sports Member is not entitled to attend or vote at the Annual General Meeting or any General Meeting.

 

Honorary Life Member and Honorary Life Vice-President

 Honorary Life Membership and Honorary Life Vice-Presidency may be conferred on any individual by the Committee in recognition of exceptional and valuable service rendered to the Club by such individual. Such members shall enjoy the privileges of a full member.

* NB Children who wish play rugby for Mansfield Rugby Club must be a junior member in their own right.

Please note that any player who has not paid his annual subsciption by the 31st October will not be considered for selection.

Yes our host at Mansfield Rugby Club, Tony Woolley. Master of all alcohol refreshments, and that is not just serving and changing barrels, he knows how to participate just like the rest of you during and after a match.
